City of Vallejo and Akashi Japan are celebrating 45 years of Sister City relations. In celebration of the anniversaries, Vallejo Sister City is celebrating by engaging the youth of Vallejo. With the mission to enhance and strengthen relationships. Also providing understanding and empowering youth for global peace and diplomacy.
Proceeds from this event will support Jordan who is also a cadet in he Robbin Mackbee Firefighter Youth Academy travel expenses. Jordan is a graduating senior class of 2018 and the great-niece of fallen Vallejo Firefighter Robbin Mackbee. Jordan will be traveling to Japan, Korea and the Philippines.
The festivities start at 12 noon for our Cup Cakes and Caprisun Class. This is a youth class, students will have fun and get tap into their creative side and they get to take home their very own custom decorated cupcakes. Then, the main event will start about 4 P.M. for adults (21+) enjoy a party type atmosphere while you enjoy cocktails and lite bites. Remember this is all for a good cause.

Events wrap up at about 7 p.m., but you're welcome to spend the rest of the time perfecting your masterpiece or just mingling or enjoying the company of other decorations.
The Vallejo Sister City Commission and Association is sending a Girls Basketball and a Taekwondo Team to three of its sister cities abroad July 11 – July 27, 2018 in celebration of its anniversaries with these cities. The teams will be accompanied by Delegations from Vallejo and Councilmembers. They will travel to Akashi Japan, Jincheon South Korea and Baguio Philippines as citizen diplomats.

It's just $90 to show your support for our Cakes and Cocktails fundraiser (21+) and $35 per student for our Cupcakes & Caprisun fundraiser. Each additional student will be $25 per student.
